A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder following a series of road traffic collisions in Rochdale.
Keith Michael Knight, born 21 January 1976, of no fixed abode, has been charged with one count of murder and five counts of attempted murder.
He has been remanded in custody and appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 6 May 2025.
The charges relate to three incidents that occurred on Saturday 3 May 2025. The collisions took place at:

Bury Road at the junction with Woodgate Avenue

Bury Road at the junction with Broadhalgh Road

Whitworth Road near the junction with St Mary’s Gate
A woman sustained injuries in one of the incidents and later died in hospital on Sunday 4 May 2025.
