A 20-year-old man is in custody after women and girls were reportedly exposed to in Rochdale earlier this week.
Police have arrested the male on suspicion of indecent exposure following a series of incidents in the Wardle area of Rochdale.
Greater Manchester Police are investigating four reports of a man allegedly exposing himself to females walking near Water Grove Reservoir and Wardle Park between Monday 16 and Thursday 19 June.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Jay-Naren Uppal described the incidents as “extremely concerning” and said the arrest had been made swiftly. “That man remains in our custody,” he confirmed.
In response, the force has deployed extra patrols and resources to the area to provide reassurance to residents, especially those using local open spaces during the warm weather.
Sgt Uppal added:
“We take reports of this nature incredibly seriously. Victims of exposure offences will be listened to, believed, and supported.”
Police are urging anyone who may have been a victim of a similar incident but has not yet come forward to report it via 101, Live Chat, or the Greater Manchester Police website. For incidents currently taking place, people should call 999 immediately.
