An overhead line fault is causing major disruption on the Metrolink network this morning.
The Bury line is currently suspended with no trams in operation, with the Rochdale via Oldham line part suspended.
Services are operating on the Rochdale line between the Town Centre & Monsall.
Engineers have been working through the night to repair the damage.
Ticket acceptance is in place on commercial bus services 41, 59, 81, 83, 97, 98, 135, 181, 184 and 524.
Engineers are working to restore a full tram service around lunchtime.
TfGM’s Head of Metrolink, Danny Vaughan, said: “I’d like to apologise to customers whose journey is affected by today’s disruption.
“Engineers have been working throughout the night trying to fix the damage and Metrolink staff are also out across the network to help passengers.
“We’re working hard to resolve the problem and return all services as soon as possible, but anyone planning to use Metrolink, particularly the Bury or Rochdale via Oldham lines, should check the latest information before they travel and allow extra time for their journey.”
Manchester Airport services are terminating at Exchange Square until further notice, with East Didsbury Services operating to the same location.
