Officers from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses, CCTV or dashcam footage of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Falinge Road, at the junction with Sheriff Street, Rochdale on Thursday 21 March 2024.
A Vauxhall Zafira was reported to have hit the pedestrian as she attempted to cross the road at the roundabout connecting Falinge Road and Sheriff Street shortly before 4pm.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, is currently being treated in hospital for potentially life threatening injuries.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving and remains in police custody at this time.
