Families across Rochdale are invited to take a journey to Oz this half-term, as the Holy Trinity Youth Theatre Workshop prepares to stage its own version of The Wizard of Oz in Littleborough.

The classic story of Dorothy and her companions will come to life on stage at Holy Trinity Church this week, promising an enchanting theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.

Running from Thursday 30 October to Saturday 1 November 2025, the production is set to be a highlight of the October half-term. Evening performances will take place at 7:00pm each night, with an additional matinee on the Saturday at 2:30pm.

Tickets are now on sale, priced at £10 for adults and £6 for children under 16. They can be booked online via beneficeoflittleborough.sumupstore.com, by emailing theatre.tickets@cofe-littleborough.co.uk, or by phoning Katy on 07947 804117 (evenings only).

The production, hosted at Holy Trinity Church in the heart of Littleborough, promises an immersive trip down the Yellow Brick Road, complete with dazzling costumes, colourful characters, and a family-friendly atmosphere.

This year’s cast includes local children and young people who have worked closely with volunteers and theatre mentors to bring the timeless adventure to life, from the windswept plains of Kansas to the sparkling Emerald City.

Organisers say the show is designed to offer more than just entertainment, giving children the chance to grow in confidence, develop their performance skills, and connect with others through the arts.
