Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service (GMFRS) are urging residents to keep doors and windows closed following a 'chemical incident' in Whitefield.
GMFRS, along with Greater Manchester Police & North West Ambulance Service are currently attending an incident at Park 17 on Moss Lane.
No casualties have been reported.
A GMFRS statement read: "Firefighters are currently responding to reports of a chemical incident at a commercial unit on Park Seventeen.
"Crews are working with colleagues from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS). There are no reports of any casualties and crews remain on the scene at this time."
Emergency services were first called to the scene at around 12:30pm this afternoon, with four fire engines being deployed from Blackley, Bury, Broughton & Whitefield.
A number of the units have been evacuated and a cordon is in place.
