A fallen tree is blocking a road in Bury as Storm Dudley hits the UK.

Hall Street, Walshaw is currently blocked at the junction with Neston Road.

Police have closed the road whilst the tree is moved.

Ward councillor for Tottington, Cllr Luis McBriar said on Facebook: "Evening everyone, on my drive home tonight and I’ve been diverted due to a tree which has fallen on the road on Hall Street in Walshaw.

"The police have closed the road and the tree is being removed.

"Please be extra careful whilst travelling this evening due to the bad weather!"

A yellow weather warning is in place across the region with Storm Dudley expecting to bring a spell of very strong winds and possible disruption throughout Wednesday evening and into the early hours of Thursday morning.
