Donation boost for Rochdale Mayfield from local business and charity

Players from the Rochdale Mayfield ARLFC youth section receive a donation from Mr Chintan Patel of Nisa Local / PRP Trading Ltd, supported by the Making a Difference Locally charity.

Rochdale Mayfield ARLFC has received a donation from a local retailer and charitable organisation to help support players, equipment, and community programmes.

The funding will assist the club’s ongoing work in providing rugby league opportunities for people of all ages across the borough.

Rochdale Mayfield ARLFC has welcomed support from Nisa Local, PRP Trading Ltd, and the charity Making a Difference Locally following a donation presented to club representatives at a gathering attended by members, volunteers, and supporters.

The club said the funding will contribute towards new kit and equipment while helping to maintain community programmes and participation opportunities.

Speaking to Roch Valley Radio, Carl Abraham, representing Rochdale Mayfield, said: “We are incredibly thankful to Nisa Local and Making a Difference Locally for their generosity. Community rugby clubs rely heavily on the support of local businesses and organisations, and this donation will make a real difference to our players and volunteers.”

Mr Chintan Patel of Nisa Local and PRP Trading Ltd said he was proud to support a club that plays an important role in the local community by providing opportunities for young people and adults to stay active, build friendships, and develop life skills through sport.

A spokesperson for Making a Difference Locally said: “We are delighted to support Rochdale Mayfield ARLFC and the positive impact the club has on local families. Grassroots sports organisations are at the heart of many communities, and we are pleased to contribute to their continued success.”

Rochdale Mayfield describes itself as the borough’s only community rugby league club and is run by volunteers who support players of all ages and abilities.

Club officials said the donation will help ensure affordable access to sport continues while maintaining a welcoming environment for participants and families.

The club has also thanked Nisa Local, PRP Trading Ltd, and Making a Difference Locally for their support of local community initiatives.
