Detectives investigating the murder of a man on Industry Street in Rochdale in the early hours of Monday 3 October 2022, have been granted a 36-hour extension to continue questioning a 37-year-old male suspect.
Officers were called to the Industry Street address at 00:33 hours on Monday 3 October 2022, to reports of a disturbance. On arrival, they discovered the body of a man. Formal identification has not yet taken place but this is expected to be done later today (Wednesday 5 October 2022). A Home Office post-mortem determined death was as a result of multiple injuries.
There is still a cordon in place on Industry Street, but two associated cordons on Norton Road and Gale Street have now been removed. Police are not looking for any other suspects in relation to this crime but are keen to hear from anyone that may have any information regarding this incident.
