Bury Hospice’s annual Strictly Best Foot Forward event brought glitz, glamour and generosity to the stage this weekend – raising an outstanding £48,253.26 to support hospice care in the local community.
The evening, Saturday 22nd March 2025, saw months of preparation come to life as this year’s couples performed in front of a packed audience. After a night of sparkling routines and high-energy performances, the coveted glitterball trophy was awarded to Catherine Barnes and Adam Lewis, who impressed both the judges and the crowd.
Speaking after the event, winner Adam Lewis said:
“So last night was finally the night where all the weeks of learning to dance finally paid off, as we only went and won!
A massive thank you to all of the volunteers for putting together such an amazing event and also to all the other dancers that took part.
As of last night, the total raised sat at £48,253.26 – which is an amazing amount of money for such a worthy charity.
Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me through this – there’s still time to donate if you haven’t already.”
The fundraiser, now a popular fixture in the hospice calendar, was once again organised by trustee Deborah Lisle and her dedicated Strictly team. Their efforts were praised by hospice staff and attendees alike for delivering a seamless and uplifting evening.
All proceeds from the night will go towards the work of Bury Hospice, helping provide specialist care and support to patients and families across the borough.
Donations are still being accepted via the campaign page:
