Five candidates have been confirmed for the Tottington by election which will take place on Thursday 2nd April.
The full list of candidates standing in the Tottington by-election has been confirmed. Voters will be able to choose from five candidates representing a range of political parties.
The candidates are as follows:
- Drew Keanu Bell for Labour
- Greg Keeley for Together for Bury
- Chloe King for the Green Party
- Emma Elizabeth Lee for the Conservative and Unionist Party
- George Henry Martin for Reform UK.
Polling stations across the ward will open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday 2nd April.
Residents will receive a polling card ahead of the vote confirming the location of their polling station.
Voters attending a polling station must bring an accepted form of photographic identification in order to receive a ballot paper.
People who do not have an accepted form of photo identification can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate through the UK Government. The deadline for applications is 25th March.
Anyone not yet registered to vote must do so by midnight on Tuesday 17th March in order to take part in the by election.
Residents who prefer to vote by post can apply for a postal vote until 5pm on Wednesday 18th March. Those who apply to vote by post will not be able to vote in person at a polling station.
Applications for a proxy vote, allowing someone else to vote on a person’s behalf, must be submitted by Wednesday 25th March.
Votes will be counted immediately after the close of polls.
