Shoppers at The Rock could win a £1,500 spending spree as part of birthday celebrations
The Rock Shopping Centre in Bury is marking its 15th anniversary with a major giveaway, inviting visitors to enter a £1,500 shopping spree competition running until 11 July.
To celebrate the milestone, which officially falls on 16 July, the centre has installed a large photo prop shaped as the number 15. Shoppers who take a photo with the display and share it on social media using the hashtag #15YearsOfTheRock or email it to the centre will be entered into the prize draw.
The launch event on Saturday featured butterfly stilt walkers and roaming dragon performers, drawing crowds and kicking off a season of festivities.
Arnold Wilcox-Wood, Centre Director, said: “This is one of the biggest giveaways we’ve done in a long time. We’re really proud of the part we play in Bury’s story and we’ve got many things planned this summer, this is just the start of the birthday fun.”
The winner will be contacted close to the anniversary date and invited to the centre to collect the prize, which can be spent across its retailers. In addition to the competition, The Rock has been decorated with colourful bunting, banners, posters and flowers to create a festive atmosphere.
