Health services In Bury are gearing up to offer eligible people an autumn booster jab of the Covid-19 vaccination.
As before, the oldest and most vulnerable people will be called first – residents should wait to be contacted by the NHS when it’s their turn.
Booster jabs can be booked from today (5th September), and clinics will start on 12th September at Bury’s four GP-led venues – the Elizabethan Suite, Prestwich Walk-in Centre, Radcliffe United Reformed Church, and at Ramsbottom Civic Hall.
Eligible people are asked to book via the National Booking Service which you can also reach by calling 119. Or you can call our local booking team on 0161 983 2300, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Bury’s clinics will still be offering first and second doses to tho se who want them.
Lesley Jones, Bury’s director of public health, said: “Covid vaccinations have saved many lives, and prevented many more people from becoming seriously ill. Covid is still around, and new variants are continuing to emerge. I urge everyone who is eligible to book a Covid booster and give themselves the maximum protection.”
A full list of vaccination clinics are available on the Bury Council website.
