As the days become colder and the nights grow darker, many families will be looking forward to bonfire night season to brighten their autumn.
The sky is set to light up with fireworks displays across Bury and beyond.
It’s increasingly rare for councils to put on traditional fires and displays, with cash-strapped local authorities across the country reigning in their festivities
in the last few years in light of spiralling costs.
But while Bury’s council organised bonfire celebrations seem to be a thing of the past, there are still plenty of activities taking place across the borough to celebrate November 5.
