Members of the public are being urged to avoid the area around a Rochdale retail park as police deal with an incident.
Officers were called by the ambulance service at around 4:30 am, to reports of a concern for the welfare of a person near Sandbrook Park in Rochdale.
No further details are known at this stage.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 4.30am on Monday 17 July 2023, police were called by the ambulance service responding to a report of concern for the welfare of a person on land near Sandbrook Park, Rochdale.
"Emergency services remain at the scene and members of the public should avoid the area.
"Anyone with information should contact police quoting log 390-17/07/23."
