A male has been found dead at a park near to Bury Town centre this morning.
Police were called to the scene at Openshaw Park in Bury, just after 6am this morning.
The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 6:15am this morning (Monday 5 September 2022), we were called to an incident at Openshaw Park, Bury.
"Emergency services responded where sadly an adult male was found deceased at the scene. The circumstances are believed to be non-suspicious.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
Nearby school St Thomas' Primary is closed for the day and is expected to re-open tomorrow.
A large cordon was in place earlier this morning, this has now been lifted.
