More than 350 people were welcomed to St Andrew’s Church in Rochdale on Christmas Day for the 10th Annual Meal organised by the Army of Kindness.
The event, held on Entwistle Road, brought together families, children and individuals for a day of food, celebration and community. This year’s gathering was the busiest yet, with over 180 children receiving gifts from Father Christmas and Mrs Claus.
The day was supported by more than 40 volunteers and featured a full Christmas meal cooked and served by local firm Madina Catering. Decorations, crackers, carols and generous donations added to the festive atmosphere.

Children were each given a wrapped gift, helping to create lasting memories for families who may otherwise have gone without.
The food for the day was funded by the Duchy of Lancaster, with organisers thanking all donors and supporters for making the day possible. These included Sahara Grill, Rochdale Kebab House, Sunshine Snacks Ltd, John Shaw and Chris Furlong.

Volunteers helped with everything from preparing food and serving meals to gift distribution and clean-up.
The Army of Kindness thanked St Andrew’s Church for continuing to host the event year after year, offering a space of warmth, welcome and dignity for all those in need during the holidays.
