I Can’t Stop Loving You (Though I Try)

🟥 LIVE on Day Two from Vintage Vibes 2026 at the East Lancs Railway

We're down at the two-day music festival hosted by East Lancashire Railway and this year we’re fully embracing the stadium scene, with heavy hitting tributes to Queen and Cher, as well as even more Northern Soul and 1980s bangers.

We're broadcasting live on DAB across Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham and Tameside this weekend, as well as via our website and mobile app, bringing you the latest chat and interviews right from our radio trailer.

The live blog updates will appear below.

On the way back from Ramsbottom to Bury, there were trespassers on the line, resulting in our train being delayed by about half an hour whilst the volunteer train drivers safely navigated past them.

This year, we're watching a retrofitted remote-controlled duck, and it's a great duck! We'll have to try this when we put our duck in next year's duck race.

Dean has interviewed Stuart from the Rotary Club about this year's Duck Race.

You can get an Icecream on the platform, look at vintage trains and listen to First Class entertainment, what more could you want?

14:01   David Murphy

We're heading on the ELR over to Ramsbottom to watch the entertainment on the platform and to head over to the Rotary Club's Duck Race.

Our Operations Director, Dean, is in the press booth with us, planning the day ahead. We're going on the railway today, down to Ramsbottom too.

This afternoon, in addition to entertainment at other stations, Ramsbottom has the annual Duck Race, so we're going for a quack.
