Rochdale Masters Rugby League has announced the creation of a Women’s Masters Section as the club continues to expand and encourage greater participation in the sport.
The new section is aimed at providing more opportunities for women to get involved in Masters Rugby League in Rochdale.
Club officials said the launch marks an important step in their commitment to growth, inclusivity and the long term development of Masters Rugby League within the borough.
The Women’s Masters Section will allow more players to take part in the sport while helping to strengthen the club's community and support the wider growth of the Masters game locally.
The announcement follows another well attended training session, with the club reporting record numbers and a continued influx of new participants joining Rochdale Masters.

Training currently takes place on Monday evenings, although the club said this could change in the future depending on facility availability.
Club representatives said the focus for 2026 will be on creating a positive and welcoming environment where women of all abilities can enjoy the sport and become part of the growing Masters Rugby League community.
Weekly sessions are held at Mayfield Sports Centre and are free to attend, with no booking required.
The club said it is focused on building sustainable foundations to ensure Masters Rugby League remains strong and accessible in Rochdale for years to come.
