This weekend is the Ramsbottom Come Together Festival, a free community arts festival spanning across 12 venues.
The festival with tickets still available for some activities over the weekend, celebrates music, arts and community.
The festival, known locally as RCTF, is featuring a broad lineup of musicians, bands, poets, spoken‑word performers and other artists across multiple venues in the town. It celebrates community, creativity and local talent with events running throughout the three days and into the evenings.
One of the flagship venues, the Theatre Royal, will host an emerging talent showcase, today, Saturday 7 February, featuring a mix of acoustic and band performances.
Other venues around Ramsbottom seen promoting their contributions to the festival include St Paul’s Church and The Railway, with live music across the Saturday and Sunday from around 2pm onwards.
“Bringing my little boy to the silent disco has been brilliant,” said Tom, a parent from Ramsbottom. “He’s never danced so much and the whole atmosphere is just so friendly. It’s great to see community events like this giving kids something fun to do, whilst supporting a cause.”
In addition to live music, RCTF will feature spoken‑word and poetry sessions with a line up of award‑winning writers and performers. Festival social media posts have highlighted appearances by a collection of poets and spoken‑word artists.
Entry to all events at the Ramsbottom Come Together Festival is free with performances planned across 12 venues in the town. Full details of performance times and locations are available on the official festival website. https://www.rctf.co.uk
