Police are dealing with an incident at the Norton Grange Hotel and Spa in Castleton this morning, with part of the site sealed off and a visible emergency presence on Manchester Road.
Several Greater Manchester Police resources are currently at the scene, including specialist units, with officers establishing a cordon around an area of the hotel grounds.
A video appeared on social media earlier this morning showing the scene taped off since at least 7am this morning.
A Spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said:
We were called shortly before 2am to reports of a fight. A man was taken to hospital and another man arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody for questioning.
The victim's condition is currently unknown.
Officers remain on scene and the situation is ongoing. Roch Valley Radio will update this story as soon as further confirmed information becomes available.

An incident occurred in the early hours this morning. We have coordinated with the local authorities and can confirm that the hotel has now returned to normal operations. We will not be providing any further comments on the incident. Thank you for your understanding.
