Springhill Hospice has confirmed that its Light Up a Life appeal for 2025 has raised an impressive £29,645.36 to support care for people with life-limiting conditions.
The annual fundraising campaign invites members of the public to make donations in memory of loved ones, with each dedication marked by a star displayed on the hospice’s trees. The event provides both a moment of reflection and vital funding for hospice services.
Rachel Cutler, Supporter Engagement Fundraiser at Springhill Hospice, said:
Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Light Up a Life appeal in memory of a loved one.
It was beautiful seeing all the stars displayed lovingly on our Hospice trees. Together we raised an incredible £29,645.36 for the Hospice.
This means that our outstanding team can keep providing support to people with life-limiting conditions. I pass on the thanks of all the staff and volunteers at the Hospice for all your kindness and ongoing support.
The hospice also expressed its appreciation to Castleton’s Independent Family Funerals, who returned as the campaign’s main sponsor.
Lots of events in 2026 are planned, such as the Ramadan Appeal, and the Carnival of Cake which will be on 21 March 2026.
