Emergency services are dealing with a large fire on Milltown Street in Radcliffe, with residents urged to stay away and keep windows and doors closed.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to the incident at around 7.15pm on Tuesday 21 April. Eight fire engines and three specialist appliances attended a building fire involving a derelict structure.
Firefighters used jets and turntable ladders to bring the flames under control. Water has been drawn from the nearby River Irwell to support efforts at the scene.

Residents in the surrounding area have been advised to avoid Milltown Street and keep windows and doors shut due to a significant plume of smoke.
Police and ambulance crews also attended, with a cordon put in place and later extended as the response developed.

An eyewitness reported hearing a large explosion during the incident. This has not been confirmed by emergency services.
Milltown Street has experienced previous fires in recent years, including an incident at a derelict mill in September last year and another blaze involving a storage unit in 2022.

Emergency services remain at the scene as work continues to extinguish the fire and secure the area.
