Bury shopping centre, The Rock is inviting nominations for its next charity partner, offering local causes the chance to benefit from fundraising and public support.
The Rock, Bury’s main shopping and leisure centre, is now accepting nominations for a new partner charity to support throughout the year.
Submissions are open until Thursday 23 May, and must come from individuals closely involved with the nominated charity and with its permission.
Centre director Arnold Wilcox-Wood said: “There are so many good causes in and around Bury which is why we aim to refresh our charity partnership each year. Once all nominations are received, we will shortlist three charities which will go forward to a public vote to give our customers the final say.”
Once the shortlist is announced, an online public vote will run for two weeks in June. The winner – the charity with the highest number of votes – will become The Rock’s official partner charity from July.
The current partner, Secret Garden – Hoyles Park, will automatically be included in the public vote.
Nominations must be submitted online via the centre’s website: www.therockbury.com/charity-of-the-year/**
