Rochdale AFC presented their end of season awards after Saturday’s 2 to 1 win over Wealdstone at the Crown Oil Arena. Harvey Gilmour, Kyron Gordon, Casey Pettit and Sophie Coates were among the main winners.
Gilmour was named the Dale Trust Supporters’ Player of the Season after also collecting five monthly awards during the campaign.
Gordon picked up two of the top honours. He was voted Players’ Player of the Season and also won the Brent Wilkinson Club Player of the Season award.
Pettit won the Frank Bishop Goal of the Season for his strike against Eastleigh. Coates was named Rochdale AFC Women’s Player of the Season.
Oliver Whatmuff received the Wilson Family Young Player of the Season award. Gilmour also added the South Manchester and Cheshire Supporters Club Player of the Season and Rochdale AFC Her Game Too Player of the Season awards.
Further honours went to Sam Beckwith and Brooke Strudwick for their work with Rochdale AFC Community Trust. Beckwith was named the trust’s Men’s Player of the Season and Strudwick won the trust’s Women’s Player of the Season award.
The Brian Johnson Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Voluntary Service to Rochdale AFC went to Lee Percy. The club said he had been the driving force behind Dale 1907, helping raise thousands of pounds for flags at the Crown Oil Arena and organising a team for the Sleep Out event which raised more than £1,500 for the Community Trust and Petrus.
