Goals from Matt Dudley and Luke Sephton sent Ramsbottom through to the Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup with a 2-1 win at Golcar United on Saturday afternoon.

The home side, down to ten men following an earlier challenge on youth graduate Lucas Braganca, did pull one back as the game moved into added time, making for a tense few minutes for the travelling Rams fans, but they successfully saw the game out setting up another trip into White Rose territory at Silsden on the 16th August.

Next up for Ramsbottom United is the visit of St Helens Town to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium on Saturday, 3pm kick off, as their fledgling Premier Division campaign continues.
