Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in Oldham yesterday (10/3/25).
- We were called to Manchester Street around 10:50am yesterday to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian
- A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition with serious injuries
- A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and released on bail
We were called to Manchester Street at around 10:50am to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
It is believed the vehicle – a brown-coloured Vauxhall Corsa – having travelled along King Street, turned onto Manchester Street where it collided with the woman as she was crossing the road.
The woman, in her 70s, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition with serious injuries.
The driver, a 24-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
She was interviewed and has been released on bail.
