For guidance, although a knife was used it didn’t penetrate the skin of one of the boys and the other wasn’t harmed.
At around 4pm yesterday (Tuesday 4 March 2025) we received reports of a knife being used involving two 14-year-old boys.
Thankfully no serious injuries were suffered at the time by one of them, which wasn’t life-threatening or life changing.
No arrests have been made at this time but an investigation is ongoing.
Detective Inspector John Robb of our City of Manchester South district said; “We understand the concern this incident will raise but we are conducting active enquiries into this to ensure we can provide the appropriate safeguards to the local community.
“We are now in a position to appeal to the public in the immediate area for additional details as we understand it occurred in broad daylight during a busy period.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 direct quoting incident 1934 of 04/03/2025. Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
