Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation after high-value plant equipment was stolen from Electricity Northwest’s substation in Farnworth on Saturday 10 February 2024 at around 11am.
A 1t Dumper (Terex – HD1000) in white and a 0.8t Excavator and buckets (Kubota – K008) in orange, both on hire from GAP Plant were taken from Campbell Street near to Partridge Close.
Enquiries are ongoing at this stage with no arrests made.
PC Kristina Laundon from GMP’s Bolton district said; “Following the report this weekend we have conducted a number of lines of enquiries and now want to appeal to the public to see if they can assist us further.
“We are particularly keen to speak to people in the local community if they saw something suspicious at the time in broad daylight or if these two specific models of equipment have been offered for sale for a price that may be too good to be true.”
