Akbar Kafeel Khan (16/05/2002) of Hyde Road in Gorton appeared at Manchester Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday 1 March 2023) where the charge was amended from attempted murder to murder.
Khan entered a not guilty plea. During the same proceedings he entered a guilty plea to possession of a bladed article and was remanded in custody to appear at trial on Monday 24 July 2023.
The 19-year-old victim, Ibraheem Ali, sadly passed away from his injuries a week later, where a subsequent murder investigation was launched, after he was attacked on Stockport Road in Levenshulme at around 11.30pm on Sunday 22 January 2023.
