Lancashire League second-division side Greenmount Cricket Club have broken the highest scoring record for the second consecutive weekend.
Travis Townsend's side have scored in excess of 400 runs in their last two games, and currently occupy the top two spaces on the Highest Team Total charts.
The previous top score was 411 which was scored in 1938 by Todmorden in a two-day playoff final at Turf Moor, Burnley.
At the Log Cabin this afternoon, Greenmount won the toss and elected to bat against an Accrington side who had only won two games from their opening seven going into today's game.
Greenmount scored 443 runs for 8 wickets from their 50 overs, in response Accrington were bowled out for 231 after 48 overs.
South African pro, Jacques Snyman scored an unbeaten 269 from 139 balls, featuring 28 fours and 15 sixes - which is also the highest ever Lancashire League Individual Innings. His ninth-wicket partnership with Sam Greenhalgh is also the highest on record.
He also had a good afternoon with the ball as well, taking 4 wickets for 34 runs from his 12 overs, which included 4 maidens.
This adds to Snyman's scoring against Great Harwood last Sunday in which he scored 158 runs. His average for the season stands at 95.29.
Last Sunday, Greenmount scored 429 runs in their 50 overs. The team went on to win by 83 runs after Great Harwood's valiant effort in response scoring 346.
Greenmount will be looking to continue their form away at Bacup next weekend.
