Milnrow CC v Droylsden CC - 4 July 2026

Milnrow CC secured a three wicket victory over Droylsden CC after chasing down a revised target of 139 in 33.5 overs.

After winning the toss and choosing to field, Milnrow restricted Droylsden to 134 for seven from their allotted 34 overs before reaching 141 for seven with one ball remaining.

Droylsden made a steady start through Robert Wilman and Josh Unsworth, who added 62 for the opening wicket. Wilman scored 22 before being run out, while Unsworth top scored with 34 from 68 deliveries.

The innings then stalled as Majid Majeed produced a match winning spell. He removed Nihaal Basharat, Daron Cruickshank, Rizwan Hussain and Harry Pryce to finish with outstanding figures of four for 24 from his 10 overs.

Professional Vinny Dulsara provided some resistance with 31 from 24 balls before Harry Mooney claimed his wicket. Saiman Saleem Ghouri remained unbeaten on 25 and Aaron Brown struck a quickfire 13 not out to help Droylsden finish on 134 for seven.

Senash Fernando also impressed with the ball for Milnrow, returning figures of one for 25 from 10 overs.

Set a revised target of 139 from 34 overs, Milnrow completed the chase with one ball to spare, finishing on 141 for seven to claim a valuable five points.

Majid Majeed’s four wicket haul proved decisive in keeping Droylsden’s total within reach as Milnrow held their nerve to secure victory by three wickets.
