Rachel Kerr: Scottish travel influencer reported missing in Morocco has been traced, family says

Wednesday, 29 April 2026 22:36

By Jenness Mitchell, Scotland reporter

A Scottish travel influencer reported missing in Morocco has been traced and is in their care, her family has said.

Relatives of Rachel Kerr, 31, had earlier appealed for anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward, with her cousin saying they were "extremely concerned" for her welfare.

The influencer from Dunblane near Stirling, had been staying in the city of Agadir on Morocco's Atlantic coast but had not been heard from since checking out of her hotel on Saturday.

Posting on Facebook, Ms Kerr's cousin Claire Hill appealed for any help tracing her and said they were "very concerned for her welfare".

On Wednesday evening, Ms Hill posted an update to the widely-shared post, saying Ms Kerr, 31, had been located.

She said: "Rachel has now been traced and is safe in the care of family. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share and provide support and information."

Ms Kerr has more than 9,000 Instagram and 6,000 Facebook followers and frequently posts travel content.

She had recently been posting about her time in Morocco and was on a work trip to the coastal city.
