Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he's been successfully treated for prostate cancer.
The 76-year-old revealed a malignant tumour of less than a centimetre had been found in its early stages but was completely removed.
"I underwent targeted treatment that removed the problem and left no trace of it," he said on social media
"I went to a few short treatments, read a book, and continued working. The spot disappeared completely."
The prime minister said the disease hadn't spread but he wanted to act immediately: "When I'm given information in time about a potential danger, I want to address it immediately," Mr Netanyahu added.
"This is true on the national level and also on the personal level. That's what I did."
The Israeli leader's medical report said he was otherwise in good health.
"I requested to delay its publication by two months so that it would not be released at the height of the war, in order not to allow the Iranian terror regime to spread even more false propaganda against Israel," Mr Netanyahu wrote on X.

The prime minister said the cancer had been detected as he was under monitoring following successful surgery for a benign enlarged prostate a year-and-a-half ago.
Mr Netanyahu, the country's longest-serving leader, also had a pacemaker fitted in 2023.
Last month, he shared a video of himself in a Jerusalem cafe after rumours of his death circulated online and in Iranian state media.
