A teacher who was allegedly stabbed in the head by a pupil in class relives the moment she thought she would die every day, a jury heard.
The 16-year-old defendant has pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder Vicki Williams at Milford Haven Comprehensive School in February.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of stabbing his teacher in the head, Swansea Crown Court heard this week.
He denies attempted murder, unlawful wounding, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was 15 at the time of the alleged attack.
Giving evidence on Tuesday, Mrs Williams told the jury she sought medical assistance immediately afterwards as she believed she was dying.
The court previously heard how the pupil came up to her desk on the afternoon of 5 February and asked her to check his work.
But "alarm bells" began to ring in her head when he shut the classroom door, saying it was cold.
The pupil then drew a large kitchen knife from his bag, striking her in the head, the jury heard.

A "violent struggle" ensued in which Mrs Williams tried to take the knife from the boy before he fled the premises, the court was previously told.
On Tuesday, Matthew Roberts KC, defending, put it to Mrs Williams that she was injured by accident after a "scuffle broke out" when the pupil refused to hand over the knife.
Mrs Williams denied that this was the case.
Mr Roberts asked why Mrs Williams did not lock herself in the classroom after the boy had left.
She replied: "Because I know I've been stabbed in the head, I'm fearful that I'm dying.
"All I'm thinking at that point is, 'I need help'."
The court previously heard Mrs Williams attended Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest and was found with a scalp wound, scratches on her back, and minor cuts to her hands.
Catherine Wilcox, safeguarding lead at the school, described the moment she saw Mrs Williams in the aftermath of the incident.
She said: "She looked horrific, her skin was the colour of a dead body, the colour had absolutely gone from her.
"Her hair was wild, absolutely all over the place, I just thought, 'God, she looks awful'."
