An evening of live music and performance will bring together visually impaired performers, volunteers and students in Bury this month. BBS on Tour 2.0 takes place at The Met on Market Street on 12 March at 7.30pm.
The event is organised by Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People and follows the success of last year’s show. Staff, volunteers and clients will perform in a variety programme designed to celebrate creativity, confidence and community spirit.
Students from the Sixth Form at Bury Grammar School will also take part in the evening, joining performers on stage in a show that aims to highlight inclusion and shared community support.
A spokesperson for the Society said, "BBS on Tour is about bringing people together and celebrating the incredible talent within our community. We’re especially delighted to have Sixth Form students involved this year it’s wonderful to see different generations supporting one another."
The charity supports people living with sight loss across the metropolitan borough of Bury, offering practical help, social opportunities and activities throughout the year. Organisers say money raised from ticket sales will help fund its ongoing services.
Tickets are available from the Society’s centre or via The Met website. Further information is available by calling 0161 763 7014.
