Amber Davies will star as Elle Woods in a new UK and Ireland tour of Legally Blonde The Musical, which includes a stop at Manchester Opera House in November 2026.
Amber Davies has been confirmed as the lead in a brand-new production of Legally Blonde The Musical, set to tour the UK and Ireland from 7 February 2026.
The Made at Curve production, directed by Nikolai Foster and co-produced by ROYO and Curve, will arrive in Manchester from Tuesday 3 November to Saturday 14 November 2026.
Davies, who shot to fame as the winner of Love Island in 2017, has since established herself as a West End performer. She recently played Jordan Baker in the London production of The Great Gatsby, and has previously starred in Pretty Woman (UK tour), Back to the Future The Musical (West End), and Bring It On. Her debut stage role was in 9 to 5 the Musical, which was the subject of an ITVBe documentary Amber and Dolly: 9 to 5, where she interviewed Dolly Parton in Nashville.
Speaking about the role, Davies said: “I'm absolutely thrilled to be playing the iconic role of Elle Woods in ROYO and Curve's new production of Legally Blonde. As a huge fan of the film and the musical, this part is the role of a lifetime. I am honoured to be stepping into Elle’s perfect heels.”
Based on Amanda Brown’s novel and the hit 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon, Legally Blonde The Musical features a book by Heather Hach and original music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin.
The musical follows Elle Woods as she transforms from fashion-focused sorority girl to a determined Harvard Law student, challenging stereotypes and learning the power of self-belief.
The show will be helmed by Curve’s artistic director Nikolai Foster, with choreography by Leah Hill, musical supervision by Matt Spencer-Smith, and design by Colin Richmond (set), Ben Cracknell (lighting), and Adam Fisher (sound).
The production follows the success of the touring production of Kinky Boots, also directed by Foster for ROYO and Curve.
Further casting and tour dates will be announced in due course. Organisers note that Amber Davies will not appear at every performance, and ticket holders are advised to check individual venue listings for cast updates.
