Community Hero Nomination

The Roch Valley Radio Community Heroes Awards is our annual celebration recognising the incredible contributions of local people who go the extra mile to support others. These are the unsung heroes who care for the most vulnerable, strengthen community bonds, and help build a fairer, kinder society for everyone.

This year’s awards will take place on Friday, 26th September 2025, at The Village Hotel, promising an unforgettable evening of great food, entertainment, and headline acts. Join us as we shine a spotlight on the people who make our communities truly special.

 

The Deadline for nominations is Friday 15th August 2025

 

Nominations should meet the following criteria:

  • Nominations must be for individuals, community groups, organisations, businesses or projects that have served the borough voluntarily; paid work or revenue-generating activities will not be considered.

  • Nominations must reflect work or contributions that have taken place in and around, but also directly benefitted our borough.
  • Nominations must be for work or contributions that have happened in 2025 (except for the lifetime achievement award).

We will be contacting all nominees who have been shortlisted by late August 2025, to ensure they are happy to be put forward. We will let them know who nominated them if asked, unless you have noted in your form that you wish to remain anonymous.

The Community Hero Awards event will be held on Friday 26th September 2025 at the Village Hotel, Bury, where we will distribute the awards and announce the winners in each category.
