Roch Valley Radio is the Hospital Radio service for Rochdale Infirmary and Fairfield General Hospital located in Bury within the Bury and Rochdale Care Organisation, that is part of the Northern Care Alliance Group.

We have a team of volunteers located at the hospital that visit the wards each week and speak to patients, family members and colleagues for music requests.

Patients can listen to our radio station by various sources, such as the Hospedia Bedside TV unit which provides free hospital radio and other paid services, or they can use our mobile app which is free to download on your android or apple devices.

Families and friends of those that are currently in hospital can send a message to us to read out on air, along with a song request if you know a particular song may cheer and make the day of a loved one. You can do the link below.

Our volunteers receive the relevant training such as health and safety, fire awareness, safeguarding and confidentiality, each volunteer also goes through a DBS check during the induction stage.
