Emergency services responding to 'burst water tank' in Rochdale

    Emergency services are currently responding to an incident in Rochdale.

    Station Road, Milnrow is currently closed after reports of a burst water tank at a commercial address. 

    Police were called to the scene just after 4pm this afternoon. 

    No injuries have been reported and enquiries are ongoing. 

    A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 4pm today (Sunday 2 January 2022), police were called to reports of a burst water tank at a commercial property on Station Road, Milnrow. 

    "Emergency services are currently in attendance and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. 

    "No injuries have been reported and police are asking people to please avoid the area. 

    "There will be travel disruption on the tram lines. Please follow TFGM for updates."
